Charge controllers – there from the start
aixACCT eMobility is a division of aixACCT Systems GmbH. As a specialist in metrology and development services, aixACCT Systems has been developing electronic measurement and control systems, along with the corresponding software, for over two decades.
The next milestone: Plug&Charge
We have been building on our leading position in EV charge controllers since 2019. This also saw the development of the CP-ISO double charge controller. Thanks to our involvement in projects like PVtec in Germany and the EU’s Energy ECS, we were able to present a prototype of the controller in 2021.
Since January 2024, our CP-ISO controller has been pre-certified as the world’s first charge controller for the Hubject Plug&Charge ecosystem. This means it can reduce time-consuming inspections to a minimum, while producers can plan safe in the knowledge that they meet the latest technological standard. Based on ISO 15118, this technology offers users of Plug&Charge-capable EVs and operators of charging stations and parks new options when it comes to charging, billing, maintenance and load management.

Energy ECS – research and development in EU-funded projects. We are involved.
Energy ECS is a consortial project that aims to create intelligent and reliable energy solutions for future mobility. ECS stands for electronics, components, systems. This three-year European project focuses on developing technologies that improve the digitalization of EV systems and the associated energy solutions. aixACCT is involved in two use cases (UC):
-
Smart grid with e-mobility
This use case focuses on developing a microgrid control system that is capable of improving the resilience and reliability of the electricity grid. It aims to enable the integration of renewable energies together with e-mobility, using photovoltaic and battery storage technology.
Controllers from aixACCT ensure the connection between the charging station and the microgrid control system. They have been in use in real operations with the project’s demonstrator since the start of 2024.
-
Vehicle to grid
Electric vehicles, associated charging technologies and their impact on electricity grids play a central role in the mobility and energy transition. Smart, vehicle-to-grid-capable (V2G) applications plan charging and discharging according to the user’s schedule or based on grid specifications. This means that EVs can be ready to drive immediately, while still being available for local energy supply, for example.
aixACCT charge controllers communicate with the vehicles in line with ISO 15118-20. Together with a backend based on OCPP 1.6 or 2.0.1, they ensure that all needs for flexible use and secure energy supply are met. Finnish company Aurora Powertrains redeveloped electric snow mobiles as a demonstrator here. They have been using aixACCT charge controllers since the start of 2024 for charging, bidirectional operation on site and discharge control.
