Third generation of innovative devices

Already in their third generation, charge controllers from aixACCT Systems offer many advantages in applications that call for robust, efficient and future-proof solutions.

Overview of the main benefits

Controllers of all generations are currently in use or being delivered. Alongside the standard scope of delivery, we can also make custom adjustments and designs for smaller series. Here are just some of the things that make all charge controllers from aixACCT Systems stand out:

  • High operational reliability (availability in the field >99.9% [CP-Main])
  • High availability thanks to virtually no special parts and components
  • Double charge controller enables compact integration in charging stations
  • Low power consumption
  • Reliable in harsh ambient conditions (ambient temperature -25°C – 70°C)
  • Flexible interfaces for easily integrating further components
  • Charge controller in line with IEC 61851-1 Mode 3

  • Doppelladecontroller für den lokalen Betrieb

CP-Main – the double charge controller for local use

CP-Main charge controllers are ideal for fleet operators to use on their own premises, providing a robust and cost-effective solution for reliably charging delivery vehicles, for example. They can supply up to 2 x 22 kW via the connected charging cables, with authentication via either RFID, direct insertion or key switch.

                      • Doppel-Ladecontroller mit Backend-Verbindung

CP-Ethernet – the double charge controller with backend connection

The CP-Ethernet charge controller lets users create a secure backend connection via OCPP 1.6j, with optional TLS 1.2 encryption. This makes it possible to control and monitor charging processes remotely. Local load management can use Modbus/TCP. Charging can be billed on the backend in line with German calibration law (requires type-approved measuring device).

CP-ISO as an upgrade for your existing charging stations

The CP-ISO controller is also a great standalone solution for upgrading your existing single or double charging stations with CP-Main or CP-Ethernet. You therefore avoid the high costs of replacing the entire charging station. The existing controllers can continue to be used as I/O extensions, while all other components can largely be left unchanged. With just a few adjustments, this therefore makes your existing charging station built to IEC 61861-1 compatible with the latest OCPP 2.0.1 and ISO 15118 standards.

                                                                                                    • A CP-ISO retrofit can turn existing charging stations that were previously operated independently without a backend connection into fully fledged IEC 61851-1 charging stations with ISO 15118 and backend connection.

The only conversion work required is fitting the controller and power supply, along with minor adjustments to the internal connections (such as the meter and RCD) and configuring the parameters.

Connection to the backend requires an internet connection via wifi, Ethernet or LTE (optional). In most cases, there is no need to change the housing of the charging station, as the controller and power supply unit take up only 2.5 TE (DIN rail). Any existing RFID scanner can still be used with the new controller.

                                                                                                      • Upgrade of the existing charging station for fully fledged backend connection via OCPP 1.6j or 2.0.1 + ISO 15118
                                                                                                      • Requires wifi or Ethernet connection, or a SIM card for LTE (if fitted)
                                                                                                      • Connection for optional front module (display, RFID, LED and buttons)
                                                                                                      • Easy conversion
                                                                                                      • Requires separate 12 V DC power supply (max 1 A), alternatively PoE
                                                                                                    • Charging stations that already have a backend connection can also be upgraded with the CP-ISO.

If you are unsure about how you will use your charging stations in the medium term, this lets you keep your options open and retrofit a backend-capable controller at low cost later on. As more and more ISO 15118-capable vehicles hit the road, you can easily upgrade to the new controller.

The charging station’s existing CP Ethernet controller functions as an I/O extension following the upgrade, assuming time and safety-critical tasks.

The existing Ethernet cabling can still be used. The conversion work is therefore limited to fitting the controller and power supply unit, routing the meter connections and configuring the parameters on the controller.

If you use the optional front module, you can do away with the RFID scanner, as this is already integrated in the front module. All other supply lines and fastenings can remain. If you continue using the IP address, there is no need to adjust the Modbus/TCP load management, as the registers are compatible.

                                                                                                      • Upgrade of existing charging station to OCPP 2.0.1 + ISO 15118
                                                                                                      • Local backend connection via LTE (if fitted)
                                                                                                      • Connection for optional front module (display, RFID, LED and buttons)
                                                                                                      • Easy conversion
